My experience

In 2014, I attended the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Healthcare Workers course offered by the Penn Program for Mindfulness. This formal introduction to the practice of mindfulness meditation was life-changing. Mindfulness offered a new and honest ways of relating with myself and my life that fostered a much greater sense of wholeness, happiness, and peace.

At the conclusion of the course I resolved that I would complete whatever training was necessary for me to share the practice with others in a thorough and authentic way.

The following year I had the privilege of beginning my formal study of meditation with renown teachers Scott and Nancy McBride, (Co-Directors of ClearLight Meditation Institute). In the summer of 2017 I completed their 900-hour Meditation Teacher Training Program and was urged to begin teaching. In February of 2018 I had the great honor of being named to Faculty at CMI and began leading their Complete Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners series.

In 2019 I will be co-teaching Philadelphia’s first & only Trauma-Informed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program. Integrating findings from clinical research trials, recent neuroscience findings, nationwide statistics and individual expertise, T-MBSR creates a student-centered experience, focused on fostering personal growth and healing through learning mindfulness meditation.

My motivation in sharing the practice of mindfulness is to help others recognize who they are most fundamentally, and in doing so to realize their fullest potential for happiness & freedom.
